How long have you been in business?
Kat has been shooting and editing weddings since 1998 and started Cinema Chic Productions in 2005.
What is your primary product or service?
Wedding and Event Film Making.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
After receiving a degree in Recreation Management and working in the industry for about 2 years Kat decided to go back to school and study her passion of art, photography, and film. After moving to the beautiful Hawaiian island of Kauai, Kat landed her first video production job and never looked back. She loves shooting weddings because they are always different, beautiful, and a spiritual experience. Making memories for families to cherish forever.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Kat is very active in the film community attending seminars and conferences all over the world. She has met the worlds most talented and creative wedding film makers, and travels around the world shooting with them. Meeting new people and experiencing new events keeps Cinema Chic's work at the cutting edge of technology, fresh in their creativity, and never a cookie cutter experience.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Cinema Chic is a small cinema boutique that creates unique and personal wedding films for each couple. Kat is the main cinematographer & editor and is at every wedding so we only book a limited amount of weddings per year. We specialize in quality not quantity.
